SpaceX recently successfully launched a payload that was delivered to the International Space Station (ISS). The contents of the cargo, namely ants, avocados, to a human-sized robotic arm.

The payload has been launched by SpaceX from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, United States. This is the 23rd delivery of a payload for NASA in less than a decade.

The payload sent by the Dragon capsule has arrived at the ISS. Quoted from AP News, Monday (6/9/2021) at least the weight of the cargo carried by this Dragon reached 2,170 kilograms consisting of various supplies and experimental materials.

There is also fresh food, ranging from avocado, lemon, and even ice cream that can be eaten for the seven astronauts who served in space.

In addition, there are also cargoes in the form of ants, saltwater shrimp, and plants that will be used as research tests.

Meanwhile, the experimental robotic arm that was also transported was made by a Japanese startup. Later, the robotic arm will be used to put things together and also help astronauts on the ISS.

Toyotaka Kozuki, Chief Technology Officer, said that the robotic arm was to train skills in repairing satellites and other repair work in the future.

Previously, SpaceX would send a number of other experiments. However, the launch was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NASA relied on SpaceX after Uncle Sam's state space agency retired loading shuttles since the end of the space shuttle program in 2011.
