Twitter Users Can Give Money Using Bitcoin

Earlier this year, Twitter launched a new feature called Tip Jar that allows users to give money directly to their favorite accounts.

This is a form of thanks and support from users for accounts that often post their favorites. Also Twitter gives users a way to monetize their twitter account.

When the Tip Jar feature was first launched the platform allowed users to give money using Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal, and Venmo.

And now Twitter is introducing a new way for money users to give money via bitcoin.

This can be seen from the latest beta update where there is a code indicating that Twitter is working on introducing a feature that allows users to tip using bitcoin.

Back in July, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey told investors that bitcoin was going to be important to the company and that they would be introducing the feature to his Tip Jar and based on the latest code it looks like it's already in the works.

Currently it seems that this feature is only present in the beta version of iOS, but it is possible that it will also be present on Android devices.

There's no details yet on when this feature will roll out, but the code also indicates that Twitter will provide users with tutorials on how to tip using bitcoins, as well as using the Bitcoin Lightning Network and custodial and non-custodial wallets.
