Learn about the effects of booster vaccines from Moderna to Pfizer.
To note, the five vaccines for the COVID-19 booster are:
Moderna
CoronaVac or Bio Farma COVID-19 Vaccine
Vaxzevria and Kconecavac from AstraZeneca
Zifivax
Comirnaty from Pfizer.
The side effects of booster vaccines are a particular concern, considering that some people experience mixed reactions after receiving both the first and second doses of the vaccine.
The following are the side effects of Moderna to Pfizer, summarized by us from various sources, Thursday (20/1/2022):
Moderna booster vaccine effect
The Moderna vaccine is an mRNA vaccine or a vaccine made from spike proteins on the surface of the corona virus. Moderna injections will immediately work to recognize the viral spike protein.
Quoted from CNN, Ines Atmosukarto, a doctor and molecular and cellular biologist from the University of Adelaide in Australia, said the side effects were not much different from other branded vaccines.
"Yes, the feeling of discomfort, heat, pain, fever is because our immune system is stimulated. AEFI (Post Immunization Adverse Events) is temporary. After 24-48 hours it usually goes away. There have been reports of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart) in young people, generally men," said Ines some time ago.
"But this is also temporary. After a few days it's gone. Don't forget the COVID-19 disease actually causes longer myocarditis," he said.
Meanwhile in its report, the FDA cited the effects of the Moderna vaccine during clinical trials including:
Pain, swelling, redness at the injection site
Fatigue
Headache
Muscle ache
Freezing
Nausea and vomiting
Fever
Red rash.
CoronaVac booster vaccine effect
For side effects, Sinovac is mild-moderate. Some of the side effects of the Sinovac booster vaccine include:
Local reactions such as pain at the injection site
redness
Generally grade 1-2 severity.

The safety data for the AstraZeneca vaccine are well tolerated. Side effects or AEFIs were reported as mild and moderate (mild 55%, moderate 37%).
The effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine include:
Pain at the injection site
Headache

Myalgia
Malaise
Fever
Body shivering
