Logitech released a software called RightSignt 2 which promises to provide a more realistic hybrid meeting experience.
This software can provide a close-up view of the speaker and the entire meeting room when making a video call. With auto framing technology, RightSight 2 allows remote meeting participants to follow active speakers and receive situational context from other participants at the same time.
RightSight 2 is the latest innovation from Logitech that aims to create a more equal meeting experience today and in the future.
"Remote meeting participants often feel 'secondary' when they are in a video call with other coworkers in the office. They don't get direct interaction or have difficulty following the meeting," said Scott Wharton, General Manager and Vice President , Logitech Video Collaboration, in the information we received .
"RightSight 2 is a solution for remote meeting participants to collaborate on a par with offline meeting participants regardless of their location," he added.
RightSight 2 combines audio and video intelligence to detect the placement of individuals in a room and the location of their voices. The new Speaker View mode uses a dual camera system on the Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini to provide a picture-in-picture view of the active speaker and the entire group.
The active speaker screen is captured using the main camera which is able to smoothly pan and zoom in the video as the speaker changes, while the wide-angle AI Viewfinder captures an image of the entire room ensuring remote participants can see and hear all meeting discussions clearly.
Meanwhile, IT Admins can have the flexibility to set speaker views and group views (via Rightsight's original auto-framing implementation) to suit the needs of meeting participants.
Speaker View from RightSight 2 is also compatible with all major cloud video conferencing partners, so IT teams don't have to worry about adapting to evolving office hybrid needs through Logitech's video collaboration ecosystem.
Speaker View will function as a picture-in-picture mode with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android and Windows, and integrates seamlessly into Zoom Rooms' multi-stream technology—showing each speaker and room on separate individual screens.
The View RightSight 2 speaker is now available globally and is free in public beta on CollabOS 1.5 for Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini. Customers can update the video bar in the Sync Device Management software, or through partner platforms such as Zoom Device Management and Teams Admin Center.
