Celcom is now seen to have introduced the latest feature for voice calls to their customers, namely VoWiFI (Voice over WiFi).
Through this feature, it allows you to stay in touch with anyone via voice call through the use of WiFI network. This is especially useful in areas with less cellular coverage such as in tall buildings-but can still stay connected to a WiFi connection network.
While it promises high quality voice calls, it still relies on a stable WiFi network connection.
Currently, only around 9 devices are supported by Celcom for this VoWiFi - including the Huawei Mate 20, Huawei P30, Huawei Nova 5T, Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro.
There is no support for Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi users at the moment, and it is expected to be added soon.
Apart from Celcom, several telcos have also supported it, including Maxis and Digi.
