In addition to between individuals, WhatsApp is used by users to make group voice calls. To maximize the use of these services, WhatsApp provides a series of new features, what are they?
We compiled this Friday (17/6/2022) with various new features in group voice calls on WhatsApp:
1. Notifications when someone joins a group call
When someone joins a group voice call and they're not visible on the screen, you'll see a notification saying "X has joined the call". This way, you can know when and who just joined, even if you're on a group call with lots of people.
2. Mute other people in group voice calls
This feature gives you the ability to mute other people in a group voice call. You will no longer be bothered by loud noises like the television on while trying to hear other people talking.
3. Message others on group voice calls
You know how it feels when one person on a group call announces something shocking, and you want to message that person right away. Now you can do it easily on WhatsApp.
This new feature allows you to quickly message your fellow participants, without having to miss an ongoing conversation.
In addition to updates to group voice calls, in the past few months WhatsApp has also made various innovations in the voice calling and messaging features that have made the user experience even better. Anything? See on the next page.
Update on WhatsApp voice calling service
1. Group voice calls up to 32 people
For some people, talking face-to-face is better than exchanging messages. This is where WhatsApp group calling fulfills the need.
WhatsApp recently introduced the ability to make group calls of up to 32 people. Through this large group call, planning an event after the pandemic or a wedding with many people is not a problem.
2. Hands-free voicemail
Maybe you are familiar with the situation where you have to re-record a voice message but accidentally release the microphone button. With this feature update, users can easily hold down the microphone icon and swipe up to lock the record mode.
You can also pause the recording and resume it when it's ready. This means you don't have to replay the recording if you're distracted or want to think about the message first. When finished, press the button to send.
3. Reviewing voicemail
Sometimes, when we re-listen to a sent audio message, we realize that someone else's voice has been recorded and interferes with the audio message. Avoid this by reviewing voicemails before they are sent, to make sure they are perfect and as intended.
4. Flexible playback
Nowadays, listening to voicemail is more convenient. You can play voice messages outside of chats so you can do other things or read and respond to other messages. If you pause playing the voicemail, you can resume it from where you left off.
5. Faster playback
Your time is limited but getting such a long voicemail? Now, it can play voice messages at 1.5x or 2x faster speed.
