Apple Watch Series 8 May Finally Be Equipped with a Skin Temperature Sensor

Samsung Galaxy Watch5 launched yesterday with a new sensor that detects the wearer's body temperature. But Samsung is not the only manufacturer that will use this sensor as it will probably be supported on the Apple Watch in the near future.

A patent for a skin sensor on a smart watch has been filed by Apple with the USPTO and found by the old MyHealthyApple. It clearly shows the skin temperature sensor system on an Apple Watch. Previously there were rumors that a skin temperature sensor would be given on Series 7. But because the software algorithm is not yet accurate enough, it was not included. After a year has passed and the patent has already appeared, the probability that this sensor will finally be used on the Series 8 is quite high.
