Malaysia is the first country to receive the WhatsApp Communities feature

WhatsApp Communities is a feature that offers users the ability to better manage WhatsApp Groups. If previously it was only tested for a small number of users, eventually the feature will be offered to all users. In a statement, WhatsApp informed which users in Malaysia will get early access ahead of the global launch.

Through the WhatsApp Communities feature, several related WhatsApp Groups can be gathered under one page at the same time making management easier for them. For example, users can form any community related to work, learning or others, then it is joined by different groups (Groups) related to it. It not only facilitates management, but also allows the administrator (admin) to open any smaller discussion based on the topic that wants to be discussed better.

At the same time, administrators can also send announcement messages to all members through specific groups. Then only administrators and certain members are given the ability to add new members to the community, either individually or through invitation links. This update will be rolled out in stages over the next few weeks.
