TikTok Says They Are Actively Removing Content That Violates Community Guidelines

A number of videos involving racism due to politics have been uploaded on TikTok since yesterday, even touching on the events of May 13. In parallel, local authorities including MCMC have warned the public not to do it.

At the same time, it also leads to the question of why TikTok doesn't remove such content automatically.

In response, TikTok said they are quick to remove videos that violate their Community Guidelines, and proactively remove videos that contain hate speech or violent extremism.

The public is also asked to report harmful content directly through the app's built-in functionality.

MCMC also previously reminded the public not to stir up feelings of hatred and provocation on social media.
