Apple is expected to launch new 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pros with M2 Max, M2 Pro and M2 Ultra chips next year. All models will offer higher performance than the M2 model launched this year. The latest benchmark scores of the new MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip have been leaked, hinting at the upcoming model with 96GB of RAM.
If true, it's significantly larger than the up to 64GB of RAM offered on Pro models with the previously launched M1 chip series. On the M2 Max chip, it will be equipped with 12 CPU cores at a speed of 3.54GHz. An upgrade from the 8 CPU cores on the Macbook Pro M2 13″ model.
Based on leaked benchmark scores, there is no performance improvement on single-core test scores. The only difference was seen in the multi-core test scores which almost reached 15,000 marks. On a computer with an M2 chip, the computer only recorded around 9000 marks in the same test.
