Apple TV 4K is a set-top box that runs tvOS to transform a normal television into a smart television. Or consumer televisions running webOS/Android TV that have not been updated, the use of products such as Apple TV 4K or Mecool KM7 Plus is a smart choice to enjoy quality streaming content or even play first on the big screen.
I own an Apple TV.
I own not a single other Apple device. Not one.
Every time I start the Apple TV I get this prompt now. @Apple what do you expect me to do about this? pic.twitter.com/CsNaTNNIHp

Apple TV 4K 2022 is the latest model launched last year, where it uses a smaller size, Series Remote with USB-C and a more user-friendly selling price. But did you know, Apple TV 4K can't be used if you don't have an iPhone or iPad running iOS 16/iPadOS 16?
This is because, if there is an update to tvOS eg tvOS 16 with the new iCloud Terms And Conditions – the user needs to use an iPhone to accept and agree to it. Not only that, Apple TV 4K and iOS devices also need to have the same account and cannot use different accounts. Also, if the Apple ID settings have not been updated such as passwords or other details – the iPhone is also required to be close to the Apple TV 4K to do such things.
In other words, Apple is forcing users to have an iPhone if they want to use their Apple TV 4K set-top box.
