Usually at the beginning of the year Apple never releases a new product, but for January 2023 it is reported that they will release the new MacBook Pro.
Apple usually doesn't release products in January presumably to provide a longer "stage" for the iPhones that usually launch at the end of the previous year. However, according to Jon Prosser, in 2023, it is reported that Apple will change that habit.
Prosser, who often provides relatively accurate leaks regarding Apple, said that Apple would announce the launch of its new product via the newsroom page on its official website.
"Pay attention to Apple's newsroom tomorrow," Prosser wrote via his @frontpagetech account on Twitter.
Then according to Ian Zelbo, the product that will be released is likely a MacBook Pro that uses the Apple M2 chip, as quoted by us from Apple Insider, Tuesday (17/1/2023).
Prosser's tweet looks like "play it safe", because Apple could just announce a new trailer for Ted Lasso season 3. Meanwhile, if what is launched is a new product, there are two possibilities.
First is the Apple VR headset, second is the new Mac with the M2 chip. However, there have been several rumors that say that these two products will be postponed, even until 2024.
Ming-Chi Kuo, for example, initially said that the Apple VR headset would be released in January 2023, but then he corrected this information. According to him, hardware-wise, the headset is ready. But from the software side it still needs further development.
Meanwhile, the Mac with M2 Pro and M2 Max was originally predicted by Max Gurman to be released in 2022, but then Gurman corrected him and said that the release would only occur in 2023. Gurman also said that 2023 would be a quiet year for Apple's new product launches. Most will only get minor updates on the specification side.
But then there is new information that emerged from the registration page for a new product in Canada, namely a MacBook Pro that supports WiFi 6E, which was registered on January 11.
So it's possible that the rumors exhaled by Prosser are really going to happen. What's more, usually the rumors that he spreads close to the launch time are fairly accurate.
