For years, the Netflix application has been using more or less the same design. Until today, they introduced a new design that is fresher, more interactive and pleasing to the eye. This update is currently limited to iOS users only and there is no information if it will be distributed to iPad or Android devices.
This update offers five main things namely;
New “Billboard” design
Usually when the tone opens the Netflix app, the first display is suggested content to watch based on usage patterns. This display of content Netflix calls it a billboard and the new update allows it to move according to the movement of the device. It also has a light lighting effect.
Gradient color on the background
If before it was always black, now the background color of the application at the top, behind the billboard, is a gradient color according to the color tone of the proposed content. But when scrolling down, it goes back to black. The category options are also changed with a white text design in an oval shape that also uses a white line, but becomes opaque when pressed.
Profile picture moves when switching profiles
Now, it's more fun when users want to switch between profiles because every time a profile is changed there will be a moving animation. After selecting a profile, it will go to the loading page and the profile picture will fly up in a smooth motion. In addition, animation transitions are also added with smoother movement.
Haptics When Tab is Pressed
In the Netflix app, the tabs below display Home, New & popular, Jokes, and Downloads. While above there are TV Shows, Movies and Categories. Now when each is pressed there will be a softer haptic effect reacting to each press except if pressing Category.
This update has been distributed to lucky users since last week and the face is distributed to all iOS users starting today. What do you think of this more interesting design?
