After being launched in China around the end of last year, Red Magic 8 Pro is now being offered for the global market. In principle, it still retains a large number of finishes and specifications similar to the Pro variant in China. But there are still minor changes made to the charging system support included with the output power of 65W.
The screen is a 6.8-inch OLED FHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also included, some other additional features such as a screen-to-body ratio reaching 93.6%, full DCI-P3 color gamut support, 10-bit color depth and DC Dimming. It is then matched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip with memory up to 16GB RAM (LPDDR5X RAM) and internal storage up to 512 (UFS 4.0). The battery capacity is 6,000mAh with a 65W wired charging system.
The main camera consists of 50MP (main) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro), while the selfie camera is 16MP which is placed under the screen. Other specifications include, stereo speakers and running RedMagic OS 6.0 based on Android 13.
The sales price starts at $650 (~RM2,811) (12GB/256GB) and $800 (~RM3,461) for (16GB/512GB). Some sources also stated that this device will be offered in the Malaysian market but no official launch date is known so far.
