Recently, there have been reports that the US government wants to impose additional trade barriers against Huawei – which may make it harder for Huawei to get chips from manufacturers like Qualcomm and Intel.
Responding to that, now Qualcomm says there are no changes to their trade with Huawei for now.
It is said that the US government wants to limit the issuance of new licenses - and it has no impact on Qualcomm, which already has a trading license with Huawei.
The license gives Qualcomm the ability to supply a number of chips to Huawei, including for 4G, as well as WiFi.
Trade between Qualcomm and Huawei is also expected to continue for several years.
