Samsung Announces Development of 32Gb DDR5 DRAM Memory Using 12-nanometer Production Process

Samsung today announced their latest achievement, developing 32Gb DDR5 DRAM memory using a 12-nanometer manufacturing process. This latest announcement comes after Samsung announced the successful production of 16Gb modules last May 2023, and has now succeeded in doubling its production.

At the same time, Samsung stated that with this new development, it will open the door to produce DRAM modules up to 1TB in the future.

This high-capacity memory is targeted for use in servers and data centers – not to mention the explosion of artificial intelligence that also requires high memory in addition to GPU support.

Samsung is targeting production for this 32Gb DDR5 DRAM by the end of 2023.
