A few months ago, we reported that Google Podcasts will end in 2024 because YouTube Music will start integrating podcasts. Yesterday Google released a statement that Google Podcasts will end operations in April 2024. Google will also distribute tools to help users transfer podcast data to YouTube Music or other podcast platforms.
Google gives a period until July 2024 for users to transfer podcast data. Users will also be able to add favorite podcasts via RSS feed. For now podcast support on YouTube Music is still limited in the United States, Canada and Latin America. But Google promises it will be offered globally before the end of 2023.
