Nearby Share On Windows Begins To Be Updated To Quick Share

Google has successfully introduced an AirDrop competitor through Nearby Share. It is a wireless file sharing feature that supports multi-devices as well as large files without any problem. Google also offers Nearby Share to ChromeOS and Windows.

Nearby Share has recently been updated to Quick Share through a collaboration between Google and Samsung. Quick Share on Samsung devices can now support other Android devices and many other Android devices are also starting to receive the new Quick Share in place of Nearby Share. Recently, Google has also changed the name to Quick Share for their file sharing feature on the Windows platform.

This update appears to be offered in stages. I'm using the latest version, but I still don't see the Quick Share name. The Android website also still uses the name Nearby Share. I actually prefer the name Quick Share and the features it offers.
