Google's Circle to Search feature is the most useful AI search feature we've seen. Even on thecekodok, the Samsung and Pixel devices we use, almost always use this feature to find something. Other Android devices will only receive this feature in September and October onwards. Most recently, the Xiaomi 14T has been leaked with this feature making it the first non-Samsung and Google device to support Circle to Search.
According to sources, this feature will arrive on Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro with the same method that is touch and hold on the gesture navigation bar or the Home button for Circle to Search. It will support search by sketching something on the screen, translating text, using Google Lens, searching for audio and more. Interestingly, the Xiaomi 14T will also have a special generative AI feature powered by Gemini.
Among them are AI Notes, AI Interpreter and AI Voice Recorder. It is like Samsung with Galaxy AI, where the processing from inside the device will use the Gemini Nano model through the AICore Android application.
At the time this article was written, sources revealed only a few details about the Xiaomi 14T and no new information about the Xiaomi 14T Pro. The 14T will be powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip, supporting 12GB RAM memory, 512GB storage and a 5000mAh battery with 65W charging.
The camera configuration is said to be three sensors with one using a 50MP Sony IMX906, OIS + 50MP telephoto + 12MP ultra-wide angle. The selfie camera is 32MP. The screen of the device is 6.67-inch OLED, the device will run HyperOS Android 14 and also has IP68 protection. Xiaomi 14T will be launched in Malaysia on September 27.
