APAD (Land Public Transport Agency) has now reportedly issued a notice to the ride-hailing service InDrive, asking them to return their intermediation business license within three months, after the ride-hailing company failed to comply with regulations.
The full notice and regulations involved are not disclosed at this time. However, InDrive has issued a follow-up statement on the matter.
InDrive said they are in discussions with the authorities to obtain further clarification regarding the cancellation notice by APAD. InDrive said they have taken appropriate action to ensure the continuity of their services in Malaysia.
InDrive offers the concept of users being able to bid on prices and discuss with drivers, before making a final booking. This gives more freedom to drivers and passengers.
