Google Announces Investment in Eyeglass Company Warby Parker

If Meta is ready to collaborate with Ray-Ban for the development of their smart glasses, now Google has announced a collaboration with Warby Parker, one of the eyeglass brands based in the United States, for their own eyeglass project powered by Android XR.

Through this collaboration, Google will allocate around $75 million as development and commercialization costs for Warby Parker, and is committed to investing up to another $75 million if Warby Parker succeeds in achieving several phases of development of this collaboration.

With this collaboration, it is expected to further facilitate the process of developing smart glasses powered by Android XR by Google, in addition to moving faster using the expertise of both parties.
