ZOTAC Updates Specs of Its Latest Portable PC Console Prototype

Last year, ZOTAC launched its first portable PC console, the ZOTAC Zone, which is also available in Malaysia.

Earlier this year, ZOTAC showed off a prototype of its new console at CES 2025, and now at Computex Taipei, they have updated the console's specs with a few new details.

Among the specs that have not changed compared to its introduction earlier this year are the use of an AMD Ryzen AI 9 370HX processor and a 7.0-inch screen display, as well as the use of a controller with Hall Effect switches and two touch pads that can be used to control menu scrolling and act as a mouse.

Recently, ZOTAC said that they have chosen to use a slightly different new operating system. ZOTAC will not use Microsoft Windows 11 or Steam OS, but Manjaro Linux as an option, with Steam software as part of the console's gaming software options.

With the Manjaro Linux operating system, ZOTAC seems to be relying on Valve's Proton software to allow users to play Windows-based PC games on this console.

Meanwhile, ZOTAC also said that they have not yet decided whether to use the 24GB or 32GB LPDDR5X memory option for this storage. The decision will be finalized closer to the console's launch.

Speaking of the launch, ZOTAC said that this console will most likely be launched around the third quarter of this year. Meanwhile, the price tag of this console is also not yet known.
