Google Chrome Ends Support for Android 8 and Android 9

Google Chrome has now announced that it will end support for two older versions of Android, namely Android 8.0 Oreo and Android 9.0 Pie. Google says Chrome 138 will be the last version that supports both operating systems.

Starting with Chrome 139, which is scheduled to be introduced on August 5, 2025, Google Chrome will require Android 10 as the minimum version before it can be used.

Android 8 was previously introduced in 2017, while Android 9 was introduced in 2018. The most recent version offered by Google is Android 16.

For users using older devices, you are advised to update to the latest version to continue using Google Chrome.
