Lenovo introduced the C55 compact digital camera, which is specially designed for vloggers. This camera is equipped with a 1/3-inch 64MP sensor and an ISO range of 100 to 6400. It is capable of recording videos in 4K resolution with up to 18X digital zoom and has electronic image stabilization for more stable recording quality.
This camera comes with a 2.8-inch LCD screen on the back to facilitate image and video recording but does not offer an electronic viewfinder (EVF). An additional uniqueness lies in the ring-shaped light around the shutter button on the front for additional convenience when shooting. In addition, it supports various recording modes such as past recording, time-lapse mode, repeat recording, slow motion and more.
This camera offers built-in storage of up to 128GB, with microSD card support for additional storage space. It is equipped with a 1300mAh battery that allows for up to 120 minutes of use in photo mode and 80 minutes in video mode. In China, the 64GB model is priced at CNY499 (~RM293), while the 128GB version is offered at CNY559 (~RM329).
Lenovo's move to introduce its own camera could be an interesting one. Whether it will succeed in this segment, or otherwise, is yet to be determined. Moreover, it may be limited to the Chinese market only.
