Intel Founder Gordon Moore's 25-Acre Mansion Up for Sale

Gordon Moore is one of the founders of Intel, who also introduced the principle of Moore's Law which states that the number of transistors on integrated circuits will double every year in 1965, which was later updated to double every two years in 1975.

Using this principle we can show the progress in the semiconductor chip industry since the 1970s until now, where processing chips come with billions of transistors built into them.

Recently, it was reported that Gordon Moore's mansion, a 25-acre estate, will be up for sale. This mansion comes with several habitable areas, including the main house and a guest house.

The main house is seen to come with five bedrooms and four bathrooms on the upper floor. The living room, dining room and kitchen are located on the ground floor, while between these two floors there is an office space complete with a staircase that directly enters the master bedroom.

Next to the main house is a garage that can accommodate 12 cars that can also be used as a workshop to repair your vehicles. Apart from that, it also has another guest house with three bedrooms, and next to it is a greenhouse, swimming pool and tennis court.

This mansion is estimated to be worth $29.5 million (~RM127 million) and the Peninsula Open Space Trust, the owner of this house, will start looking for a buyer for this mansion soon. However, there is one rule that must be followed by those who want to own this house, which is that it cannot be demolished or changed in the appearance of this mansion.

This is because under POST, this mansion is under a conservation program, and apart from owning the house, the owner will also have to ensure that this house is always maintained and repaired, and apart from that, ensure that the environment of this house is also maintained, including the redwood trees around the house.
