The Google Pixel 10 series is expected to launch in September. As usual, Google device designs leak early and this time it is via the Mystic Leaks telegram site showing minor differences compared to the Pixel 9 series and the rather disappointing Google Tensor G5 chip specifications.
The leaked device is the Pixel 10 Pro in gray. The rear panel still houses the oval-shaped camera bump with a tri-camera and there is still a periscope telephoto lens system. The SIM tray has been moved to the top while at the bottom there are two elongated holes for the speaker flanking the USB-C charging port.
The body of the device looks thicker with the aforementioned camera bump also slightly higher. This gives hope that a larger battery will be used this year. On the front, there is a flat screen with thin bezels matched with a camera hole in the center.
The specifications reveal the Tensor G5 chip with a core configuration of 1x ARM Cortex-X4, 5x Cortex-A725 and 2x Cortex-A520. The chip is paired with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage on the leaked device. The CPU core configuration is the same as the Tensor G4, only this time the Tensor G5 is manufactured using TSMC's 3nm technology instead of Samsung's 4nm.
Google will continue to use its own Tensor chip as it focuses on the NPU for processing artificial intelligence rather than the power to run applications like the Snapdragon, Dimensity or Apple A chips.
