Are you ready to own a Nintendo Switch 2? If so, mark July 3 in your calendar because Nintendo Malaysia has confirmed that this is the date when sales will open in Malaysia. The portable console officially enters the Malaysian market a week after it was offered in Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines which will receive it on June 26. Although it is a week late, it is still much better than the original schedule of arriving between July and September.
The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a 7.9″ LCD screen with a resolution of 1080p 120Hz, powered by a special NVIDIA chip that supports DLSS and Ray Tracing, 256GB of storage, and there is a dock that can increase the display to 4K resolution when connected to a TV. Another improvement is the Joy Con that connects using magnets and can be used like a mouse.
Although sales will open on July 3, the Nintendo Malaysia website has not yet listed its sales price in Malaysia. However, a store in Malaysia is listing a Switch 2 set for RM 2488 while a Switch 2 set with Mario Kart World bundle is priced at RM 2688. Both sets come with an official Nintendo Malaysia warranty for one year.
At the time of writing, the Switch 2 has sold over 3.5 million units after just four days of launch, making it the fastest console to achieve this sales figure in history.
