ChatGPT Study Mode Launched to Help Students Revise

Is the current generation of students facing a dark future due to over-reliance on ChatGPT? Several studies have found that ChatGPT users have lower brain activity and become lazy compared to Google users or those who produce their own essays. Perhaps realizing the negative impact of their product on students, OpenAI today launched ChatGPT Study Mode.

In Study Mode, ChatGPT can help students revise. The thinking steps to get the correct answer can be seen by not directly answering the question prompts as usual.

In Study Mode, users can ask questions more interactively like a human teacher. For example, it can provide the physics formula that needs to be used to answer the question and the user must provide the answer themselves before the lesson continues. Instructions to give them a quiz after reviewing can also be given to ChatGPT.

With this feature, OpenAI hopes that ChatGPT can help users learn and not just be fed like farm animals. ChatGPT Study Mode can be used today by Free, Plus, Pro, and Team account holders. It will then be launched for ChatGPT Edu users with a more affordable subscription plan for students.
