Oppo has now confirmed that its long-term collaboration with iconic camera brand Hasselblad will continue with a renewed focus on developing a next-generation mobile imaging system. The announcement was made at a special event as a continuation of the collaboration that began several years ago.
The collaboration has resulted in various innovations in Oppo’s flagship phone lineup including Hasselblad’s natural color technology, a special portrait mode, and XPAN Mode for more cinematic wide-angle shots. With the extension of this collaboration, the two brands aim to push the boundaries of mobile imaging even further and set a new benchmark in smartphone photography.
According to Oppo and Hasselblad, they are developing a next-generation mobile imaging system that combines Hasselblad’s color and image character expertise with Oppo’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology and advanced sensors. The system is expected to be introduced in upcoming flagship phones, specifically the Find X9 series, with the goal of setting a new benchmark in terms of overall image clarity.
