Sony Introduces New BRAVIA 5 98″ TV in Malaysia Priced at RM29,999



Sony Malaysia today launched three latest smart television models in the BRAVIA 2025 lineup including BRAVIA 5, BRAVIA 8 II and BRAVIA 2 II. All three models are designed to meet the different needs of consumers who want a premium visual and audio entertainment experience.


In today’s launch, BRAVIA 5 emerges as the most premium model in the series with a 98-inch display size. This size makes it an ideal choice for consumers who want a large-scale viewing experience at home.


This model is equipped with a Mini LED 4K UHD panel for bright and clear visual content. It also uses XR Backlight Master Drive technology that functions to control lighting more precisely to produce good contrast levels.


BRAVIA 5

BRAVIA 5 also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for a more immersive audio experience. It operates on the Google TV platform which provides access to various streaming services and digital entertainment applications. I/O options consist of four HDMI ports, two USB ports, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.


BRAVIA 8 II

For users looking for a more compact option, the BRAVIA 8 II is a suitable alternative. It is equipped with a 4K QD-OLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This model is also powered by Cognitive Processor XR technology that works to intelligently analyze each scene. It also supports XR Triluminos Max technology that helps produce more accurate colors like the original content.


In terms of audio, the BRAVIA 8 II uses Acoustic Surface Audio + where sound can be reflected directly from the surface of the screen. This provides a more balanced audio effect as if it were coming from the direction of the visual content itself. In addition, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support complete the viewing experience with picture and sound quality that resembles a home theater atmosphere.


BRAVIA 2 II

For users who want a more affordable model, the BRAVIA 2 II can be a more budget-friendly option in Sony's television lineup this year. It uses a standard LED panel with 4K UHD resolution and 4K X-Reality PRO technology that allows low-resolution content to be intelligently enhanced for a clearer experience.


This model supports Dolby Atmos and DTS audio for a more immersive sound experience. It also runs Google TV which allows users to access various streaming applications including Netflix. BRAVIA 2 II also comes in various screen sizes from 50 to 75 inches to give users the freedom to choose according to their needs and budget.


The selling price starts at RM 3,099 (50”), RM 3,499 (55”), RM 4,399 (65”) and RM 5,999 (75”) for the BRAVIA 2 II model. Meanwhile, the BRAVIA 8 II is priced from RM 12,499 (55”) and RM 16,999 (65”). Meanwhile, the BRAVIA 5 with a 98” screen is priced at RM 29,999 each. All three new models are now on sale in Malaysia through all official Sony distributors.
