Usage Experience
As an iPhone 14 owner, the experience of switching to the X200 FE did not provide significant changes in terms of size and daily use. The sides feel solid while the front and back panels show a neatly arranged finish. The combination of aluminum frames also adds a touch of quality to the overall design.
Regarding the color, the options provided feature a modern style without excessive shine. I received the soft pink version and several individuals were able to compliment its appearance when the device was placed on a table. In addition, vivo includes a free soft frame that matches the color, making it an attractive complement to the overall design. However, this color actually easily traps dirt, especially accidental makeup stains.
The camera bump resembles the design of the iPhone 16 model but its shape is thicker and more prominent. As a result, the physical balance of the device is slightly disturbed due to the small overall size. The ZEISS branding on the camera module indicates a collaboration with the brand. Therefore, the device's camera system could potentially be better depending on the user's usage and needs.
The 6.3-inch screen on the device may seem ordinary at first glance. Despite its small size, the packaging offered is quite outstanding in its category. When held, its physical structure feels sturdy making it comfortable to use and easy to use with one hand. It supports an AMOLED panel with vibrant color reproduction while the dark parts look intense as expected from the technology.
The screen also supports Netflix streaming in FHD via Widevine L1 and HDR10 certification for selected content. The 120Hz refresh rate is supported to work best with smooth animation transitions, app switching and scrolling. There is also a Visual Enhancement feature for color brightness in applications such as Netflix and Youtube. Users are also given the choice between an energy-saving UHD resolution mode or a clearer UHD display depending on their respective preferences and usage situations.
The button and port layout on the device is designed with an easy-to-recognize approach. On the right side, this device houses the power button and audio adjustment buttons. The left side does not have any ports or buttons to make it neater. The top has two microphone holes while the SIM card slot, USB-C port and main speaker are placed under the device.
This device supports a stereo audio system with another additional speaker at the top near the earcup. Although the sound balance between the two speakers may not be completely balanced, the audio quality produced is suitable for daily use. It sounds clear and pleasant with easy-to-understand pronunciation even at the highest volume.
Normal daily use such as watching videos and playing games shows no major issues that interfere with the audio experience. The same goes for the fingerprint and face scanning system that works responsively. It allows the device to be unlocked quickly without interruption. In addition, this device passes the IP68 and IP69 waterproof standards.
Hardware and Software
The device is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip which was launched in 2024 but is still able to meet current needs. Daily use runs smoothly without any time lag problems or interference with the smoothness of the device. This consistent performance is supported by a large memory capacity of 12GB RAM along with 512GB internal storage.
In addition, the device comes with 12GB of built-in virtual RAM without the ability to be modified by the user as found in some other devices. To improve data and storage management, vivo provides an additional 50GB of compressed storage. It can help save space by reorganizing certain files for more efficient use of overall storage.

From In terms of experience, the overall performance of the device shows a satisfactory level in most situations. The device is able to run the game Honor of Kings (HOK) at a stable 60FPS frame rate although it may occasionally drop to around 58FPS depending on the situation in the game. This device also supports 120FPS mode which can be achieved well through Ultra settings in most of the game.
The frame rate shows stable performance in normal situations but when there is a battle involving many players simultaneously, this performance can experience a slight drop. In such situations, the frame rate can drop to around 118FPS and in the busiest situations the lowest reading is around 115FPS. This drop is still within the acceptable range and does not significantly affect the overall gaming experience.
Similarly with the game Temple Run 2, the performance shows satisfactory smoothness. The device provides responsive controls when running, jumping and avoiding obstacles. Movement animations are consistently smooth without noticeable glitches that can affect the gaming experience.
The X200 FE runs FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15. In terms of interface, its design retains the vivo identity which may not be compatible with all users. However, this new version offers a number of additional features that focus on improving performance and a more comfortable user experience in daily tasks.
The Lightning Speed Engine function helps applications respond more smoothly without interruption. At the same time, the Priority Scheduling feature ensures that applications that are currently being used are given priority so that they do not respond faster and are more user-friendly. The memory management system through Memory Enchancement uses zRAM technology to manage memory usage more efficiently, thus improving the overall performance of the device more efficiently.
FunTouch OS 15 also offers attractive visuals through Origin Animation and Aqua Dynamic Effect for a more attractive interface. In addition, users can change the interface and Always on Display display according to their own style. Other interesting features included include all of the following:
AI Photo Enhancer – Automatically improves image quality with one touch.
AI Erase – Allows unwanted objects in images to be easily erased.
AI Caption – Generates smart captions based on image content.
AI Screen Translation – Live screen translation for multilingual content.
Ultra Game Mode – Access to enhanced special settings for gaming performance.
Game Small Window & Split-Screen – Allows two applications to be opened simultaneously for multi-tasking.
Live Transcribe – Converts speech to text in real time.
Sound Notifications – Provides notifications regarding environmental sounds to stay alert.
Camera and Image Quality
The camera experience offered is quite satisfactory, especially for those who like to take pictures in various situations. The ultra-wide camera gives good results without excessive distortion at the edges. As a result, the composition looks natural, making the images taken more pleasant to look at and even suitable for sharing without the need for excessive editing.
There are several color profile options that users can try. Among them are TEXTURED with darker image reproduction compared to the other two main options. However, this color profile is seen to provide better sharpness and contrast levels even though the colors are less saturated.
ZEISS also provides more natural colors and almost resembles what is seen with the naked eye despite the limited dynamic range. Meanwhile, VIVID shows a more saturated and vivid image reproduction, especially involving intense colors such as red, blue and so on. Even so, human skin tones tend to be yellowish.
Portrait Mode still shows weaknesses in separating the main subject from the background. Sometimes part of the background is included in the separation, making the picture less neat when viewed closely. If followed, this problem is the same as found when reviewing the V50 Pro model. It is more noticeable when the image is enlarged, especially at the edges of the subject.
However, when viewed as usual, the portrait image is still satisfactory. However, images in low light show only adequate results. Therefore, the use of Flash in areas that are too dark is highly recommended and at the same time can also help reduce the noise effect in the picture. The result is clearer although sometimes small parts such as hands may be blurred.
Night Mode provides interesting results overall but there are still several aspects that deserve attention. The presence of bright light sources such as neon signs or street lights can affect image quality, causing noticeable noise in those situations. On the other hand, with balanced lighting, the resulting images look neat with good color and contrast reproduction. This allows night images to look natural and attractive.
The zoom capability also shows satisfactory performance, especially at the 10X level where the image is still sharp and clear without losing important details. Otherwise, the image quality begins to decline and appears faded, affecting the overall visual clarity. Night use is more challenging due to the appearance of significant noise. Especially when capturing text or illuminated signs, the colors produced tend to appear less vibrant.
Each image generated using AI such as through the Four Seasons Portrait function will be automatically watermarked. It serves to help identify the image as being based on AI generation, thus avoiding confusion with the real image in the context of use and sharing on social media.
Using the X200 FE provides a satisfying experience, especially for those who prioritize photography capabilities in a compact-sized device. Although post-processing feels slow due to complex image processing. The end result is quality that can meet the needs of modern users.
Battery And Charging
X200 FE comes with a 6,500mAh battery and 90W fast charging support. Based on several usage sessions, battery performance shows variations depending on daily usage patterns. In heavy use, the device can last around 18 hours 18 minutes with SOT for 6 hours 54 minutes. In another test session, it recorded an endurance of 17 hours 23 minutes with SOT for 6 hours 38 minutes. For lighter use, the device shows an endurance of around 13 hours 40 minutes with SOT for 2 hours 54 minutes.
The device's battery is suitable for use in various situations whether for playing games, watching videos, playing games and others. It can also be charged quickly via 90W charging. If the battery runs out, users don't have to wait long for a recharge. More interestingly, there is a bypass charging function that allows the phone to be used while charging, especially during gaming.
