I'll make a bold confession to you. Even though I've been in the tech world for over 30 years, knowing how to use 3D Studio Max, Maya and Adobe Flash to create graphics, I'm a complete failure at using office software like Microsoft Excel. This spreadsheet software is so complex, a competition to find the person who is most proficient in using it is organized every year.
Today Microsoft announced that its artificial intelligence virtual assistant Copilot will be integrated into Excel. Through this integration, users only need to enter the question or function they want to do in Excel and Copilot will do it for you. No more headaches memorizing formulas, searching for tutorials on YouTube and attending expensive (and time-consuming) Excel classes.
The Copilot integration in Excel can now be tested by Microsoft 365 Copilot app users in the beta channel on Windows and Mac starting today before being expanded to web users in a few weeks.
