PLUS now shares that PLUS highways now have 112 electric vehicle charging points, as of June 30, 2025. PLUS said this is also exceeding PLUS's initial target of only around 100 electric vehicle charging points by the end of 2025.
PLUS also said that several of these electric charging points are also equipped with solar roof systems and battery energy storage systems to support sustainability. All of the electric vehicle charging points installed are also said to be direct current fast chargers, with output power ranging from 47kW to 200kW.
The provider with the highest number of electric vehicle charging points is Gentari with 48 charging points, followed by Shell Recharge with 20 charging points, TNB Electron with 16 charging points. A total of 61 charging points are located at R&R and Side Stops, while the remaining 51 charging points are at petrol stations on the PLUS Highway.
In addition, PLUS itself is targeting the opening of an EV Hub at R&R Seremban (Southbound) by the first quarter of 2027, in addition to also starting a "Charge & Chill" pilot project at several selected toll plazas this year.
