YouTube Premium subscribers can now enjoy more new features that were previously only offered as a trial. First of all, higher quality audio with bitrates up to 256kbps can be enjoyed on YouTube and YouTube Music on Android and iOS devices. Previously, this feature was only accessible through the YouTube Music app.
Next, videos can be played at up to 4X speed on Android, iOS and the web. Until now, it was only accessible through the smartphone app. Shorts can also be downloaded and watched in PiP mode on iOS after previously being only available to Android users.
Finally, the Jump Ahead skipping feature can be used in the YouTube app on smart TVs and game consoles. Previously, it was only available on the smartphone app.
