Apple is currently said to be testing the use of OLED screens on MacBook Air, iPad Air and iPad Mini. This update is expected to arrive in the next year or three years, and not in the near future. Bloomberg targets an update to the MacBook Air with OLED panels that may arrive around 2028.
With the use of OLED technology, it will offer a clearer display, in addition to optimizing energy consumption. Currently, OLED panels are only used on the iPhone, iPad Pro and Apple Watch. The offer on the iPad Mini is also something that many have been waiting for before.
In addition to these three devices, Apple is also expected to introduce a MacBook Pro with an OLED panel around 2027. Along with updates to the panel and new processing chips, Apple may also offer updates to the overall design of their laptops.
With this development, let's all look forward to the renewal of the use of panels on laptops and tablets in this year or two.
