In addition to the introduction of the new 14-inch MacBook Pro laptop, Apple today also introduced their latest high-powered tablet, the iPad Pro with the Apple M5 chip. With this update, it offers double the performance compared to the previous iPad Pro model, especially in terms of artificial intelligence performance.
In addition to the M5 chip, the iPad Pro also comes with the Apple N1 chip, which is Apple's wireless technology chip that includes various support including WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support. Not only that, but with it is the C1X modem that includes 50% better performance for cellular data connections.
The iPad Pro comes in 11-inch and 13-inch options, both of which come with Ultra Retina XDR panels. Apple says both models are lighter and thinner than before. It also includes 1000-nits brightness support at full brightness, and up to 1600-nits for HDR. The panel on this tablet also includes 120Hz refresh rate support.
Complementing this tablet is the iPadOS 26 operating system which comes with the Liquid Glass interface. Both models support input using the Apple Pencil. Both models are offered with storage starting at 256GB.
In Malaysia, the 11-inch iPad Pro is listed starting at RM4499 for the WiFi version and RM5399 for the cellular version. The 13-inch iPad Pro is offered starting at RM5,799 for the WiFi version and RM6699 for the cellular version. Both are not yet offered and are expected to open for pre-orders soon.
