Along with the introduction of the new processor chip, Apple introduced several new devices that are updated with the chip, including the 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro. The base model of this MacBook Pro now includes the Apple M5 chip with it.
With this chip update, it offers more powerful computing performance, and is also optimized for running anything involving artificial intelligence. Not only that, Apple says this 14-inch MacBook Pro now offers up to 24 hours of battery life.
This 14-inch MacBook Pro also comes with a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera for video calls, in addition to being said to include a faster SSD. Complementing this laptop is a Liquid Retina XDR display. It comes built with the macOS Tahoe operating system.
I/O options include a MagSafe 3 charging port, 3x USB-C Thunderbolt 4, 1x HDMI, 1x SDXC card reader and 1x 3.5mm audio jack. The speakers with spatial audio are also retained on the top, the Magic Keyboard along with the Touch ID scanner on the power button. In other words, there are no physical changes compared to the 14-inch MacBook Pro M4 that is still on sale.
In Malaysia, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 chip (16/512GB) is offered at RM6999 with this increasing to RM13,799 for the (32GB/ 4TB) model which is expected to be offered in the near future.
