Nothing is now introducing a built-in audio call recording feature through a new update for Essential Space. Users can record calls by long-pressing the Essential Key button or tapping the ‘Start recording’ option in the notification during a call. The recording will be automatically saved to Essential Space storage after the call ends for future reference.
The official announcement of the call recording feature was made by Essential’s official website via a recent tweet on the X platform, and was also confirmed by Carl Pei. The feature is designed to help users stay focused during conversations while allowing the system to automatically save important details. The update is rolling out automatically without requiring any manual action from the user.
The call recording feature is available in the United Kingdom, India, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia starting today. It is also supported on Nothing devices using Essential Space including Nothing Phone (3), Phone (3a) and Phone (3a Pro). Support will be expanded to more countries soon.
