AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 “Gorgon Point” Chip Details Leaked

Last week we reported that AMD announced details of their future plans regarding the processing chips that will be launched over the next two years. These include the Gorgon Point and Medusa Point APU (Advanced Processing Unit) chip series.

Recently, details about one of the APU chips, Gorgon Point, have been leaked to the web arena via SiSoft benchmark software which shows the model name of the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 chip. Through the benchmark screenshots, it is seen combined with the AMD Radeon 890M graphics processing chip which is an RDNA 3.5 graphics chip.

The specifications and speed of this processing chip show that it comes with 12 physical cores and 24 power threads based on the existing ZEN 5 chip technology with a base speed of 2.0GHz and a boost speed of 5.25GHz.

The specifications of this processor chip are seen to be similar to the previously launched Strix Halo AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor chip, but with faster overclocking speeds than the previous chip.

Apart from that, it is not known what other significant differences can be seen in this Gorgon Point chip, except that it may support faster memory speeds in the future.
