Google is now seen developing a new operating system, named Aluminum. This is seen through Google's job advertisement on the LinkedIn page.
This Aluminum is described as an Android-based operating system, and focuses on premium devices and experiences. Aluminum is also said to be an operating system developed with artificial intelligence as its main core.
This operating system is expected to replace the use of ChromeOS on laptops. Its branding is also said to be in line with Chromium (ending with -ium). It may be just a code name for now, and not the final brand for the operating system.
Google has previously stated that it will offer laptops running Android, and Qualcomm has said that it will be marketed as early as 2026.
With this development, let's all look forward to the official introduction of this Aluminum operating system by Google soon.
