The Digital Ministry has now shared that it has developed the National Cyber Ethics Module, together with the Ministry of Education, and is currently in the pilot phase in selected schools nationwide to test its effectiveness.
Following this, the module strengthening phase will be implemented by the end of 2025, and the full implementation of the National Cyber Ethics Module is scheduled to begin in January 2026 in schools nationwide.
This module aims to increase the awareness and knowledge of students nationwide regarding online safety and ethics, as well as provide comprehensive guidance on the prudent, responsible and safe use of the internet and social media.
Currently, this module focuses on six main topics, including Digital Fluency, Digital Ethics, Digital Health and Wellbeing, Digital Commerce, Digital Privacy and Security, and Digital Rights & Responsibilities.
