Do you still remember the Honor Robot Phone, which was previously only presented as a concept image during the official launch of the Magic 8 series? Now, Honor has once again stolen attention when it first physically showed the concept smartphone at the Honor User Carnival event in China.
The Honor Robot Phone comes with a design that is different from conventional phones because it features a gimbal camera on a robotic arm on the back. This camera can be pulled out of a special space on the camera module, allowing it to move and interact with the object being recorded. In addition, the device is offered in three color options, namely black, white and gold with a finish of either synthetic leather or glass depending on the color chosen.
In terms of design, the entire Honor Robot Phone uses a strong aluminum frame with a glass panel under the camera module. In addition, the device also features futuristic elements through the integration of various AI-based features that allow the gimbal camera to not only move but also interact directly with the environment being recorded.
At this time, Honor has not yet confirmed whether the Robot Phone will be marketed commercially or will remain a concept prototype. However, more information is expected to be shared ahead of the official launch at MWC 2026 in March.
