Huawei Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro Max have been officially launched in China. All three models offer a fresher experience with unique packaging in addition to adequate internal hardware for their class.
Among the main highlights of the Mate 80 series is the unique rear design with Dual-Ring and a metal body covered with a nylon finish. However, the build still maintains the boxy shape of the previous generation. Mate 80 comes with an aluminum alloy frame while the Pro model uses a glossy finish.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED 120Hz screen with FHD+ resolution (2848 × 1320 pixels). It is paired with the Kirin 9030 Pro chip, up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device runs HarmonyOS 6 which offers a simpler and smarter AI experience.
It also features a 50MP main camera system (F1.4–F4.0 aperture, OIS, RYYB), 40MP ultra-wide (F2.2 aperture, RYYB), 50MP macro telephoto (OIS), ultra-telephoto, and a second-generation color sensor. Complementing the device is a 6000mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
The Huawei Mate 80 Pro comes with a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED 120Hz screen with FHD+ resolution (2832 × 1280 pixels). It is paired with a Kirin 9030 chip with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device is also equipped with a 5750mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
The camera system consists of a 50MP main lens (aperture F1.4–F4.0, OIS, RYYB), a 40MP ultra-wide camera, a 48MP macro telephoto with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a second-generation color sensor. As a complement, a 13MP selfie camera is also provided on the front.
The Huawei Mate 80 shares some internal hardware similar to the Pro model, including a 6.75-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED screen and a 5750mAh battery. It is paired with a Kirin 9020 chip, up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
This device also supports 66W fast charging. It is also equipped with a 50MP main camera (aperture F1.4–F4.0, OIS, RYYB), a 40MP ultra-wide, a 12MP periscope telephoto, and a second-generation color sensor. As a complement, this device has a 13MP selfie camera.
