OpenAI would like to inform previous users that ChatGPT support services via WhatsApp will be terminated on January 15, 2026. This termination is in line with changes to WhatsApp’s terms of service.
With this change, OpenAI now offers ChatGPT users on WhatsApp the ability to transfer their conversation data to the main ChatGPT service.
To do this, you just need to download the ChatGPT app on Android or iOS, and then register an account. After registering an account, users can link the account on WhatsApp – where you just need to open a ChatGPT account on WhatsApp, and click on the link there.
Once clicked, it will link your phone number to your ChatGPT account, as well as import your chat history with ChatGPT on WhatsApp, for your future reference.
