WhatsApp today announced the introduction of a new feature on its messaging service, which operates like Instagram Notes. Through it, users can include a short status or message, and it will be displayed on the user's profile section, as well as in the chat window.
WhatsApp calls this feature WhatsApp About. All shares will expire after 24 hours. Users can also set a timer before the shares disappear.
The introduction of this feature simultaneously provides convenience for users to see what their current status is and others, as well as making it easier for other users to understand if you are slow in responding.
This WhatsApp About feature is currently being introduced in stages to all users around the world, via the WhatsApp mobile application.
