YouTube has announced that they are experimenting with a new feature, namely built-in messaging support on the YouTube mobile app. With this step, users can communicate and chat with each other directly through the video app.
YouTube focuses this feature on making it easier for users to share their favorite videos with each other, and at the same time have discussions and conversations about them. Today, there are some conversations about the videos that take place outside the app, and with this built-in messaging support, it solves that problem.
YouTube says this feature is one of the most requested features from users around the world. This messaging support is currently being tested in Ireland and Poland, for those over the age of 18.
For your information, Spotify has also previously introduced built-in messaging support on their app.
