After resurfacing with smartwatches this year, Pebble has entered the smart ring arena by launching the Pebble Index 01. But unlike the Galaxy Ring or Aura Ring, the Index 01 is not designed for health tracking purposes but rather a device for recording ideas that come to mind.
The Pebble Index 01 is equipped with a button and microphone. When pressed, users can speak and the recorded audio notes will be stored directly on the device before being reviewed. It can also be used to write reminders directly to the calendar or start an alarm clock. The same button can also be programmed to control the camera or turn on the flashlight.
It does not require the internet to function and is tethered directly to a smartphone. The application is equipped with LLM that supports 99 languages to convert audio to text. The ring's internal storage can store up to 5 minutes of audio.
The body is made of stainless steel and it is also waterproof. According to Pebble, the Index 01 battery can last up to several years before needing to be charged like other smart rings. The Pebble Index 01 can be pre-ordered at a starting price of $75 (~RM 308) before rising to $99 (~RM 407) when it goes on sale publicly in March 2026.
