Bending Spoons has been quite active in acquiring a number of once-powerful technology companies, including AOL, Evernote, WeTransfer, and even Meetup. Most recently, they also announced the acquisition of another company, Eventbrite.
Eventbrite was previously founded in 2006, and had a company value of up to $1.76 billion when it went public in 2018. Bending Spoons acquired Eventbrite for around $500 million.
This acquisition will further expand their product portfolio, mainly focusing on event management. At the same time, it is expected to continue to contribute to higher user numbers across Bending Spoons' products.
