Many social media users often face feed views that are not in line with their preferences. This situation is difficult to predict because it depends on an algorithm that cannot be clearly determined.
To overcome this issue, Threads is currently testing a new feature based on artificial intelligence (AI) called ‘Dear Algo’. This feature is developed to help users customize their feed views according to their preferences more easily and systematically.
Through the use of the phrase ‘Dear Algo’, the system will understand the user’s wishes whether they want to see more or less of certain content. This step will make the experience of using the application more relevant, personal, and user-friendly.
It is still in the internal testing phase, where users will only need to add the phrase ‘Dear Algo’ to the update. This action will signal the system about the content they want to see more or less, and the effect will continue for up to three days.
If the user’s profile is set to public, the request will be visible to others. This allows them to connect based on common interests, or even reshare the update.
However, this feature is still in the experimental phase and is not yet available to all users.
