Application That Prevents Individuals Living Alone From Dying Unknowingly Launched

Death is one of the things that humans fear the most. Fear of not doing enough before meeting God and families being left crying at the grave because of the loss of the head of the family. With family relationships becoming rarer due to busy work, the Sileme application is now going viral in China because of its feature that tells whether the user is still alive.

Sileme, which means "are you dead?", is going viral in China because of its function that helps individuals living alone monitor their safety. They only need to verify that they are still alive every day. If it is not done within 48 hours, a notification will be sent to individuals registered as emergency contacts in the application.

The phenomenon of death without realizing it and only being noticed after the body has rotted is increasing in China. Therefore, this application was developed considering that more than 30% of the 200 million single households in China live alone. A fee of 8 Yuan (~RM 4.70) is charged per month to cover operating costs.

Due to its popularity in China, Sileme has been launched to the global market as a Demo but is currently only available for iOS at a cost of $0.99 per month.
